Preventing Overlapping Text Printing in PowerPoint

How to prevent printing of overlapping text, images, or graphics in PowerPoint.

Documents containing multiple text boxes, images, and graphics may print incorrectly even though the objects were not overlapping on the screen.

To quickly fix this problem, group all the objects together before printing. This temporarily merges the images together so that they do not wander across the page when you click Print.

  1. Select Edit > Select All or press Ctrl+A.
  2. Right-click the edge of one of the objects to bring up the menu.
  3. Select Group > Group.

To edit the objects later, ungroup the objects.

  1. Select Edit > Select All or press Ctrl+A.
  2. Right-click the edge of one of the objects to bring up the menu.
  3. Select Group > Ungroup.
